ปรัชญาคณะวิทยาศาสตร์

ผ่านความเห็นชอบจากที่ประชุมกรรมการประกันคุณภาพการศึกษาของคณะวิทยาศาสตร์ คราวประชุมครั้งที่1/2544 เมื่อวันที่ 13 กุมภาพันธ์ 2544]

วิทยาศาสตร์ ดำเนินไปบนพื้นฐานของการแสวงหาความจริงอย่างมีเหตุมีผลผ่านกระบวนการวิจัย เพื่อนำมาซึ่งองค์ความรู้ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ที่ผ่านการทดสอบ ปรับปรุง เปลี่ยนแปลง สั่งสม และถ่ายทอดกันมาหลายชั่วอายุคน คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ในฐานะองค์กรการศึกษา จักต้องใช้องค์ความรู้ทั้งที่มีอยู่แล้วและพึงแสวงหาใหม่ เพื่อเพิ่มพูนและเสริมสร้างภูมิปัญญาของบุคคลให้ตั้งมั่นอยู่บนพื้นฐานของความเป็นวิทยาศาสตร์ รู้จักใช้กระบวนการคิด การใช้เหตุและผล เพื่อสร้างสรรค์สังคมแห่งการเรียนรู้ ซึ่งจะนำไปสู่การพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนของประเทศต่อไป

The Philosophy of the Faculty of Science
Science is an embodiment of the spirit in quest of truth. This can be realized through a process called research, which brings about a body of the scientific knowledge that has been tested, improved upon, oftentimes replaced, then accumulated and transmitted through generations. The Faculty of Science as an academic institution pledges to advance the knowledge of science, both established and novel, for the benefit of the individual, whose intellect and wisdom thus acquired or augmented will manifest itself on the scientific basis, which emphasizes the thinking process and rationality, hence creating a learning society which is a prerequisite for a sustainable development of the country.
