Cooperation with Freiberg University
Cooperation between the Faculty of Science and Freiberg University is conducted as cooperation between Thailand and Germany through the National Research Council of Thailand. Exchange of experts takes place between the two universities and academic cooperation in the following two areas has been drafted:
2. Education/Academic Project “Sandwich - System”.
Under area two, Mr. Sukdipown Thiansem, a lecturer with the Department of Industrial Chemistry, who is now furthering his studies at the doctoral level at the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University, will travel to Germany for one and a half years in April, 1998. He will conduct research under the Sandwich - System Project at Freiberg University through a scholarship provided by The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
In order to strengthen the cooperation, the Dean of the Faculty of Science went on a study tour and engaged in academic discussions with the administrators of Freiberg University from 3 - 18 May, 1997. Financial support was provided by the National Research Council of Thailand and Deutsche Forschungs Gemeinschaft (DFG).
